Bright Gravity 12hr
« on: February 03, 2013, 08:58:16 PM »

Quick race report from the weekend.   Helen, Derek, George and I headed up to Bright for the 12hr this weekend.   Helen, George and I entered the mixed triples and crazyman Derek entered solo.  We had grand expectations of a podium, but the competition was fierce and we ended up 8th after doing 13laps in the 12 hours.  Helen was the real anchor of the team doing 5 laps in great time.  George and I were fairly knackered and full of excuses and did 4 laps each.

Derek rode the 6inch travel big bike and did 7 laps, an absolutely amazing effort after breaking a collar bone not too long ago.

Then today we did a lap of the Beechworth MTB Park just to shake out the muscles after yesterday's effort :) It was my first time riding Beechworth and it really is an awesome little track.

Here's a few pics.

My strava link of the race, Missed lap2 cos the Bryton crashed...Grrr

Our Beechwork MTB Park recovery ride this morning.

I just saw Chris also traveled to Bright and did 6 laps on mens pairs, great riding Chris!
